The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Group

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a wide array of characters, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, evil spirits, and sinister influences growing in strength within the city.

Warning: Spoilers for Episode 3 of this adventure lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The third episode finished on a major cliffhanger and presented the premier party of heroes who will split off from the main group to embark on their separate journey, apart from the additional parties.

This warrior group includes the determined fighter (played by Travis), Thimble (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.

Hence, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Strategists, and Questers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Initially, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might seem out of place, but the developments of the third episode make it clear why these specific adventurers are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the party knows exactly where to proceed after a brutal first encounter with the antagonists.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose death started the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The antagonist then paid off his debts and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Cyd close behind.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each adventurer has a individual motive to exit the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, desires vengeance.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the northern area and advises that it is a hostile place.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could assist the team reach places they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter pledged a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now go with him everywhere.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making staying in the city too risky:

  • The rogue and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The cleric turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This leaves them little choice but to travel to the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.

Upcoming Developments

Based on the latest episode’s Cooldown, we find out that the warrior group will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight participants to round up the Questers and Strategists tables.

Audiences can expect finding out which characters will be where in the story’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on October 24.
